Friday Night Lights

Although she will probably kill me, this is D's sister! She plays the Piccolo and flute in the marching band!

We went back to D's parent's this weekend. Friday we went to his sister's game. Saturday we went to the sushi and the movies. Sunday we just kind of hung out and watched movies! A great lazy Sunday afternoon.

Ergo let's go to Argo!

Courtney and I went Downtown today and it was fabulous! We explored a bit and went to Argo and Borders! It was a great day!

Determine K, or P, or Whatever

Lab work is going. I don't add an adjective because that is just the key. It is going... nowhere. So far minor frustrations have been overcome and I am in the home stretch. The last step is to bring a project presentation together before Thanksgiving over this "data."

School is fun now that I am in the swing of things and actually doing work. Life is great. Boyfriend is awesome. C. is Fantastic! Tests are the bane of my existence, but who enjoys them anyways?

Jessi's Wedding Weekend!

What a weekend! Flew in to Jax, arrived at midnight. 7am got an oil change, 9 collected M.'s things from her mother. Drove to Tally. Left Tally. Over-nighted in Tampa. Wedding at 11am. Drove to Tallahassee. Poor Paul's. Slept at M.'s. Breakfast with Mo & A. Lattes with K. Lunch w. Dr. D. Conferenced with Dr. K. TCBY with M. Chapter, Lattes with little, Dinner with the crew! Drive to Jax that night. Home by 1, flight at 6, @ airport by 5. Chitown @10am, class at 4pm.

FEW! What a looooooooooong weekend! So glad to have survived. Wouldn't have changed a minute of it! So glad I got to see Jessi get married and have a pre-Birthday romp with the old crew!

Any old day at the COP

Today we happened upon an unusual yet fantastic site. Two guys rolled this cart through the lobby with about a dozen solvent bottles on it wearing serious PPE. Gloves, coat, Goggles, Whole 9 yards.

As the amazing Dr. M said "Those guys mean business." Too funny!

O'Hare

Wrote a disseration today on how to get from O'Hare to my apartment! D is the best! He rode the train with me all the way to OHare to figure out exactly where Mom, Dad, and Gma are going to have to go when they get here! I made a power point that was 40 slides and made the journey impossible to mess up! I hope they get here ok since I will only be able to meet them at the train station before running back to class! Only ten more days! I can't wait!

Pcog Picnic

OMG I LOVE LOBSTER AND MY DEPARTMENT!

We had lobster at our picnic! I was the only one willing to crack lobsters so I am full of small scratches! The lobster was soo yummy! I got to talk to many a professor and post doc. The day was a great success as I discovered there will be Pcog Club on Payday! Pay and socialization! I think so! Great bonding time with T & C in the car ride there. We got lost at least a dozen times!
